On June 16, come out and see Maude Barlow talk about the “Broken Covenant: How Federal Government Policies are Undermining Social Justice and Social Equality in Canada” at the Central Alberta Social Work conference, Social Insecurity: Social Work Perspectives.

She will be there from 9 a.m. until 10:30 at the Red Deer College in Margaret Parson’s Theatre on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. All are welcome to attend her talk for free, but you have to register to attend the conference. Registration closes on the 8th though. Here is the link for the pamphlet: http://www.the-hideout.com/2015_CASWC_Final_brochure.pdf

I’m sure donations would be gladly accepted.

About Council of Canadians, Red Deer and Area

The Council of Canadians Red Deer chapter is part of a national grassroots organization of committed individuals, like yourself, that work towards a greater society for all people. There has been an unprecedented growth of inequality since the development of neoliberal ideas in the political and economic realm, and we as an organized group, want to stand up to our government and big business leaders to tell them it does not have to be that way. We are here to educate and create awareness of the many different issues that effect all of us in the present and the future.
